2nd John, a detailed warning on false
doctrine, its relation to Islamic fundamentalism

Sami Zaatari has written a short article in response to “Answering-Islam” dealing with the issue of whether or not the Bible confirms the Quran. He appeals to 1 John 4:1-6 and comes to the conclusion that Islam is confirmed by the Bible simply because Muslims believe that Jesus is the Messiah and has come in the flesh. Zaatari also argues that Christians must stop attacking the Quran since the Bible confirms it and that those who continue to do so are actually antichrist! However, this is going to backfire on Zaatari for if he actually read all of John he would have clearly seen that Islam isn’t confirmed by the Bible but actually condemned by it. Ironically, we’ve already written an article on 2nd John and Islamic fundamentalism which deals with this very same issue which actually addresses Zaatari’s article in full. This detailed examination of 2 John will prove once and for all that Islam isn’t confirmed by the Bible and is clearly antichrist!
The Bible Confirms the Quran

Christian missionaries and apologists have been arguing that the
Quran completely backs the present day Bible we have in our hands, this indeed
is a very interesting false claim, but since they want to cling to this
argument I thought I would actually turn the tables on them, showing that in
fact it is their Bible which confirms the Quran!
Now if a Christian doesn't agree and so on I say that's too bad, I
am going to be exactly like Christian missionaries and apologists.
With that said let us give the proof that the Bible does infact
confirm the Quran, 1 John 4:1-6 reads:
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the
spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have
gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses Jesus as the
Christ who has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that
does not confess Jesus is not from God, and this is the spirit of the
antichrist, that you have heard is coming, and now is already in the world. You
are from God, little children, and have conquered them, because the one who is
in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world;
therefore they speak from the world's perspective and the world listens to
them. We are from God; the person who knows God listens to us, but whoever is
not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the
spirit of deceit." 1 John 4:1-6
So notice the Bible says that anyone who confesses that Jesus is
the Christ is from God, that they are a good person, not a false satanic
anti-Christ. Well let us read what the Quran says:

YUSUFALI: Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name
will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and
the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah;
The Quran calls Jesus the Christ, the Messiah, hence according to
the Bible the Quran must be of God since it confirms that Jesus is the Christ!
Hence as you can see according to the Bible the Quran must be from God, and its
followers are also on the path of following the true message since we Muslims
affirm that Jesus is indeed the Messiah.
So therefore Christians must stop attacking the Quran, to do so
means they reject their Bible and are attacking a book and people that their
own Bible praises! Hence Christians who attack the Quran are in fact soldiers
of the anti-Christ since they are attacking a book and people who bear witness
that Jesus is indeed the Christ, Christians attack this hence this means they
are the opposite of this hence making them the anti-Christ's army!

Response from an earlier article on this very same issue
of whether Islam is antichrist or not!
Ever since September 11 there has been much emphasis on Islamic fundamentalism. Moderate Muslims have insisted that their religion is being hijacked by fanatics while the fanatics, such as Osama Bin Laden, have claimed that they’re following true Islam. Even though this continues to be a seemingly endless debate, both Muslim moderates and fanatics know that no matter which side is correct, the west’s understanding of Islam is going to shape how their religion is viewed for many years to come. This is why the greater Islamic community is doing whatever it can to present Islam as compatible to western values and religion, mainly Christianity.
Muslims know that many westerners are ignorant of Islam and that many non-Muslims wouldn’t even attempt a serious study of this religion due to the typical western disdain for anything dealing with history, since the study of history is not a top priority for many Americans. Sadly, many westerners couldn’t even recount events that happened 10 years ago let alone study a religion whose roots extend almost 1400 years. Since many westerners come from a Christian background or are familiar with Christianity, Islamists know that all they have to do is basically present Islam’s many comparable verses to Christianity to quench the so-called “Islamophobia” that many people have.
What seems to be popular are the many interfaith dialogues
held to understand the Islamic religion. This in itself is okay if one learns
to approach these dialogues with the objective of seeing what is the truth and
what are falsehoods masquerading as divinely revealed truth. However, few fail
to do this and many are deceived for they do not attempt to study the Quran nor
the Islamic traditions (Hadith, Tafseers, Sira, etc.) objectively. Churches are
even allowing Sheiks and Imams to visit their congregations to explain Islam.
Others, particularly Christian organizations, are encouraging interfaith
services and prayer worship. Such an action would be unthinkable in
fundamentalist Islamic countries in the Middle East, North Africa and
Are interfaith services or prayers allowed by the Bible? Are those ministers and pastors obeying the Holy Scripture when they participate and allow such things in their churches? One very rarely quoted passage gives us the answer to these issues. I call it one of the important marvels of the Bible since its message is extremely timely and relevant for today. Though nearly anyone who is familiar with Christianity can quote John 3:16, this passage of scripture that I am about to quote should be placed on the same level of importance, and should be one of the verses which are memorized and taught extensively. Before we begin to offer a detailed analysis on this passage we will quote it in full here:
The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love IN TRUTH; and not only I, but also all who know the truth, for the sake of the truth which abides in us and will be with us FOREVER: Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, THE SON OF THE FATHER, in truth and love. I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received commandment to do from the Father. Now I ask you, lady, not as though I were writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it. For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh This is the deceiver AND THE ANTICHRIST. Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. Anyone who goes too far AND DOES NOT ABIDE IN THE TEACHINGS OF CHRIST, DOES NOT HAVE GOD; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, DO NOT RECEIVE HIM INTO YOUR HOUSE, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting PARTICIPATES IN HIS EVIL DEEDS. Though I have many things to write to you, I do not want to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, so that your joy may be made full. The children of your chosen sister greet you. 2 John 1-13
The passage used in our discussion is 2 John and we begin by doing a detailed analysis and tafseer (commentary) here. The passage begins by saying:
The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love IN TRUTH; and not only I, but also all who know the truth, for the sake of the truth which abides in us and will be with us FOREVER: 2 John 1-2
In his letter the apostle John addresses a particular person along with all of those who know the truth. According to John, the truth abides in the church forever and it is this revealed truth which will serve to expose lies and deceptions. He is explicit in stating that the truth would be with “Christ’s followers and apostles” forever. As the apostle Paul put it:
if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 1 Timothy 3:15
This commentary on 2 John illustrates this further:
this epistle is inscribed not only to this lady,
but also to "her children"; who were not infants, but grown up, and
had made a profession of the truth, and walked in it, (2 John
1:4) , and both the mother and the children the apostle represents as the
objects of his love:
whom I love in the truth;
either as being in the truth and faith of the Gospel; for though all men are to
be loved as men, and to be done well to, yet they that are of the household of
faith, or are in the faith, are in and especial manner to be loved and
respected; see (Galatians
6:10) (Titus
3:15) ; or the sense is, that the apostle loved this lady and her children
sincerely and heartily, without dissimulation; not in word and in tongue, but in deed and in truth, (1 John

This passage of scripture is for “all” of those who recognize the truth of Jesus’ teachings and the writings of his followers; this isn’t limited to this particular audience from the 1st century A.D:
and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
either the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the
truth; not with a notional knowledge, but with the knowledge of approbation and
affection; with a fiducial and appropriating one: or the Gospel, the word
of truth; not with a speculative, but
with a spiritual and experimental knowledge of it: and this is not to be
understood of every individual person then living, which had such a knowledge
of the truth; for it cannot be reasonably thought that every individual person
should know this lady and her children; but of all such persons who had any
knowledge of them; for such who are born again by the word of truth, love not
only him that begot them, but all those
WHO ARE BEGOTTEN OF HIM: this shows in what sense the word "all"
is sometimes taken. (IBID)
True believers will undoubtedly agree that the truth is found in the Holy Bible, and to some extent even Muslims will agree since they believe that the Bible does contain divinely revealed truths:
Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, THE SON OF THE FATHER, in truth and love. I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received commandment to do from the Father. Now I ask you, lady, not as though I were writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it. 2 John 3-6
John further explains the truth to the necessary parties by reiterating key essential truths such as the Deity of Christ and the commandment to love one another. According to the apostle, this commandment has always been from the beginning and is without ending. This is a command which the church had received from the beginning:
Grace be with you, mercy [and] peace…
This form of salutation, or wish and prayer for the blessings mentioned,
from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ,
is the same used by other apostles; see (1 Timothy
1:2) (Jude
1:2) and (See Gill on Romans
1:7). Only it is added here with respect to Christ, that he is
the Son of the Father in truth and love;
which is mentioned by the apostle to
confirm the deity of Christ, which is plainly implied in wishing for the above
things equally from him, as from the Father; and to oppose and confront some
heretics of those times, who denied the true and proper sonship of Christ; and
therefore he calls him, "the Son of
the Father", the only begotten of the Father; and that "in
truth", or truly and properly, and not in a figurative and metaphorical
sense, as magistrates are called the sons of God, and children of the
most High, by reason of their office; but so is not Christ, he is God's own
Son, in a true, proper, and natural sense: and he is so "in love"; he
is his well beloved Son, his dear Son, the Son of his love; as he cannot
otherwise be; since he is not only the image of him, but of the same nature,
and has the same perfections with him. (Source)
John is outright opposing any denial of the truth of Jesus being God’s unique, Divine Son. The Greek text illustrates how both the Father and the Son are equal in nature and power. By knowing what truth is we can now differentiate any false teaching or theology which conflict with what is taught by the apostles and the Holy Bible. John’s reason for laying out the clear foundation of the eternal truth taught by Christ and his immediate followers is because:
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh This is the deceiver AND THE ANTICHRIST. 2 John 7
This verse is self explanatory in that it expressly identifies who a deceiver and an antichrist are. John says that one of the characteristics of an antichrist and a deceiver is to deny that Jesus came in the flesh. However, for a fuller understanding of an antichrist and deceiver one must turn to 1 John:
I do not
write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and
because NO LIE comes from the truth. WHO IS THE LIAR? It is the man who
denies that Jesus is the Christ. SUCH A MAN IS ANTICHRIST--he DENIES THE FATHER
AND THE SON. No one WHO DENIES THE SON HAS THE FATHER; whoever acknowledges the
Son HAS THE FATHER ALSO. 1 John 2:21-22
Who is it that overcomes the world but
he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he who came by water and
blood, Jesus Christ, not with the water only but with the water and the
blood. And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
There are three witnesses, the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these
three agree. If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is
greater; for this is the testimony of God that he has borne witness to his
Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself.
He who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed
in the testimony that God has borne to his Son. 1 John 5:5-10 RSV
Being antichrist is not only denying that Jesus came in the flesh, or that he isn’t the Messiah, BUT IT ALSO entails denying his Deity and the relationship he enjoys with God as his Father. According to the Bible anyone who doesn't acknowledge the Son DOES NOT HAVE GOD and can't be saved!! You are required to believe in Jesus as the UNIQUE SON OF GOD otherwise to deny this testimony is to deny the testimony of GOD HIMSELF AND TO ACCUSE HIM OF BEING A LIAR!! Even the Jews recognized that Jesus was claiming to be equal with God:
“But Jesus answered them, My father
has been working until now, and I have been working. Therefore the Jews sought
all the more to kill him because he not only broke the Sabbath but also said
that God was HIS FATHER, making himself EQUAL WITH GOD.” John 5:17-18
Literally, “His own Father”-Greek-
patera idion. It is clear that the Jews understood that Jesus was claiming
to be God.’” (NKJV, footnote, pg.

Jesus’ words coincide with what is taught throughout the entire NT:
Your
attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: WHO, BEING IN VERY NATURE
GOD, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made
himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in
appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became OBEDIENT TO DEATH-- even
DEATH ON A CROSS! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave
him the name that is above every name, that at the NAME OF JESUS every knee
should bow, IN HEAVEN and ON EARTH and UNDER THE EARTH, and every tongue
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:5-11
FOR CHRIST DIED for sins once for
all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to BRING YOU TO GOD. He was put to
death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, through whom also he went and
preached to the spirits in prison who disobeyed long ago when God waited
patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through
water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also--not the
removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It
saves you by the RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST, who has gone into heaven and is
at God's right hand--with angels, authorities and powers IN SUBMISSION TO HIM.
1 Pet. 3:18-22
The Lord Jesus is of such greatness and glory that even God
himself praises him as God:
"BUT
OF THE SON he (God) says, 'THY THRONE O GOD, is for ever and ever, the righteous scepter is the scepter of thy kingdom. Thou
hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; THEREFORE GOD, thy God, has
anointed thee with the oil of gladness beyond thy comrades.'" Hebrews
1:8-9 RSV
What many westerners and Christians don’t know about Islam is that this precise spirit of antichrist is manifested throughout the verses of the Quran since the Muslim scripture emphatically denies Jesus’ Deity and unique relationship to God as his beloved Son:
And to
warn those who say: Allah hath chosen a son, (A thing) whereof they
have no knowledge, nor (had) their fathers, Dreadful is the word that cometh
out of their mouths. THEY SPEAK NAUGHT BUT A LIE. S. 18:6-7
They
surely disbelieve who say: Lo! ALLAH IS THE MESSIAH, SON OF MARY. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship
Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for
him Allah hath forbidden paradise. HIS ABODE IS THE FIRE. FOR EVIL-DOERS
there will be no helpers. They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the
third of three; when there is no Allah save the One Allah. If they desist not
from so saying A PAINFUL DOOM WILL FALL ON THOSE OF THEM WHO DISBELIEVE. S.
5:72-73
And now pay careful attention to
this next reference,
And the
Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is
the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. THEY IMITATE THE
SAYING OF THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE OF OLD. ALLAH (HIMSELF) FIGHTETH AGAINST THEM.
HOW PERVERSE ARE THEY! They have taken as lords beside Allah their rabbis and
their monks and the Messiah son of Mary, when they were bidden to worship only
One Allah. There is no Allah save Him. Be He Glorified from all that they
ascribe as partner (unto Him)! Fain would they put out the light of Allah
with their mouths, but Allah disdaineth (aught) save that He shall perfect His
light, however much the disbelievers are averse. He it is Who hath sent His
messenger with the guidance and the Religion of Truth, that He may cause it
to PREVAIL OVER ALL RELIGION, however much the idolaters may be averse. O
ye who believe! Lo! many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks
devour the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar (men) from the way of Allah.
They who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto
them give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom, On the day when it will (all)
be heated in the fire of hell, and their foreheads and their flanks and their
backs will be branded therewith (and it will be said unto them): Here is that
which ye hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what ye used to hoard. S. 9:30-35
Here, now, is the commentary of Sura 9:30-35 by Ibn Kathir, Islam’s premier tafsir (commentary on the Quran and Hadith). It’s importance is only superseded by the Quran, Hadith and Ibn Ishaq’s biography of Muhammad. It was composed during the middle ages and is the most sought after commentary in the Islamic world. It is the best available source for understanding the Quran, Hadith and Islam:
The Order to fight People of the Scriptures until They give the
Jizyah
Allah

الَّذِينَ

يُؤْمِنُونَ
بِاللَّهِ
وَلاَ
بِالْيَوْمِ
الاٌّخِرِ
وَلاَ

الْحَقِّ مِنَ

(Fight
against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that
which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, and those who acknowledge
not the religion of truth among the
People of the Scripture, UNTIL THEY PAY JIZYAH WITH WILLING SUBMISSION, and
feel themselves subdued.) Therefore, when People of the Scriptures disbelieved in Muhammad , they had no
beneficial faith in any Messenger or what the Messengers brought.
Rather, they followed their religions because this conformed with their ideas,
lusts and the ways of their forefathers, not because they are Allah's Law and
religion. HAD THEY BEEN TRUE BELIEVERS
in their religions, that faith would have DIRECTED THEM TO BELIEVE IN MUHAMMAD
, because all Prophets gave the good news of Muhammad's advent and commanded
them to obey and follow him. Yet when he was sent, they disbelieved in him, even though he is the mightiest of all
Messengers. Therefore, they do not follow the religion of earlier Prophets
because these religions came from Allah, but because these suit their desires
and lusts. Therefore, their claimed
faith in an earlier Prophet will not benefit them because they disbelieved in
the master, the mightiest, the last and most perfect of all Prophets .
Hence Allah's statement,

بِاللَّهِ
وَلاَ
بِالْيَوْمِ
الاٌّخِرِ
وَلاَ
يُحَرِّمُونَ
مَا حَرَّمَ

دِينَ
الْحَقِّ مِنَ
الَّذِينَ
أُوتُواْ
الْكِتَـبَ]
(Fight
against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that
which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth
among the People of the Scripture,) This honorable Ayah was revealed WITH THE ORDER TO FIGHT THE PEOPLE
OF THE BOOK, after the pagans were defeated, the people entered Allah's
religion in large numbers, and the
Paying Jizyah is a Sign of Kufr and Disgrace
Allah
said,
[حَتَّى
يُعْطُواْ
الْجِزْيَةَ]
(until they pay the Jizyah), if they do not choose to embrace Islam,
[عَن يَدٍ]
(with
willing submission), in defeat and
subservience,
[وَهُمْ
صَـغِرُونَ]
(and
feel themselves subdued.), disgraced,
humiliated and belittled. Therefore, Muslims are not allowed to honor the
people of Dhimmah or elevate them above Muslims, for they are miserable, disgraced and humiliated. Muslim recorded
from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet said,
«لَا
تَبْدَءُوا
الْيَهُودَ
وَالنَّصَارَى
بِالسَّلَامِ،
وَإِذَا
لَقِيتُمْ
أَحَدَهُمْ
فِي طَرِيقٍ
فَاضْطَرُّوهُ
إِلَى أَضْيَقِه»
(Do not initiate the
Salam to the Jews and Christians, and if you meet any of them in a road, force
them to its narrowest alley.) This is why the Leader of the faithful `Umar bin
Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, demanded his well-known conditions
be met by the Christians, these conditions THAT ENSURED THEIR CONTINUED
HUMILIATION, DEGRADATION AND DISGRACE. The scholars of Hadith narrated from
`Abdur-Rahman bin Ghanm Al-Ash`ari that he said, "I recorded for `Umar bin
Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, the terms of the treaty of peace he
conducted with the Christians of Ash-Sham: `In the Name of Allah, Most
Gracious, Most Merciful. This is a document to the servant of Allah `Umar, the
Leader of the faithful, from the Christians of such and such city. When you
(Muslims) came to us we requested safety for ourselves, children, property and
followers of our religion. We made a
condition on ourselves that we will neither erect in our areas a monastery,
church, or a sanctuary for a monk, nor restore any place of worship that needs
restoration nor use any of them for the purpose of enmity against Muslims.
We will not prevent any Muslim from resting in our churches whether they come
by day or night, and we will open the doors [of our houses of worship] for the
wayfarer and passerby. Those Muslims who come as guests, will enjoy boarding
and food for three days. We will not allow a spy against Muslims into our
churches and homes or hide deceit [or betrayal] against Muslims. We will not
teach our children the Qur'an, publicize practices of Shirk, invite anyone to Shirk
or prevent any of our fellows from embracing Islam, if they choose to do so. We
will respect Muslims, move from the places we sit in if they choose to sit in
them. We will not imitate their clothing, caps, turbans, sandals, hairstyles,
speech, nicknames and title names, or ride on saddles, hang swords on the
shoulders, collect weapons of any kind or carry these weapons. We will not
encrypt our stamps in Arabic, or sell liquor. We will have the front of our
hair cut, wear our customary clothes wherever we are, wear belts around our waist, refrain from erecting crosses on the
outside of our churches and demonstrating them and our books in public in
Muslim fairways and markets. We will not sound the bells in our churches,
except discretely, or raise our voices while reciting our holy books inside our
churches in the presence of Muslims, nor raise our voices [with prayer] at our
funerals, or light torches in funeral processions in the fairways of Muslims,
or their markets. We will not bury our dead next to Muslim dead, or buy
servants who were captured by Muslims. We will be guides for Muslims and
refrain from breaching their privacy in their homes.' When I gave this document
to `Umar, he added to it, `We will not beat any Muslim. These are the
conditions that we set against ourselves and followers of our religion in
return for safety and protection. If we break any of these promises that we set
for your benefit against ourselves, then our Dhimmah (promise of protection) is
broken and you are allowed to do with us what you are allowed of people of
defiance and rebellion.'''

(30.
And the Jews say: "Uzayr (Ezra) is the son of Allah,'' and the Christians
say: "The Messiah is the son of Allah.'' That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those
who disbelieved aforetime. MAY ALLAH FIGHT THEM, how they are deluded away from
the truth!) (31. They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their
monks to be their lords besides Allah, and
(they also took as their Lord) the Messiah, son of Maryam, while they were
commanded to worship none but One God, none has the right to be worshipped but
He. Praise and hallowed be He above what they associate (with Him).'')
Fighting the Jews and Christians is legislated because They are
Idolators and Disbelievers
Allah
the Exalted encourages the believers to fight the polytheists, disbelieving
Jews and Christians, who uttered this
terrible statement and utter lies
against Allah, the Exalted. As for the Jews, they claimed that `Uzayr was
the son of God, Allah is free of what they attribute to Him. As for the misguidance of Christians over
`Isa, it is obvious. This is why Allah declared both groups to be liars,
[ذلِكَ
قَوْلُهُم
بِأَفْوَهِهِمْ]
(That
is their saying with their mouths), but they have no proof that supports their
claim, other than lies and fabrications,
[يُضَـهِئُونَ]
(resembling),
imitating,
[قَوْلَ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُواْ
مِن قَبْلُ]
(the
saying of those who disbelieved aforetime.) They imitate the previous nations
who fell into misguidance just as Jews and Christians did,
[قَـتَلَهُمُ
اللَّهُ]
(may
Allah fight them), Ibn `Abbas said, "May Allah curse them.''
[أَنَّى
يُؤْفَكُونَ]
(how
they are deluded away from the truth!) how they deviate from truth, when it is
apparent, exchanging it for misguidance. Allah said next,
[اتَّخَذُواْ
أَحْبَـرَهُمْ
وَرُهْبَـنَهُمْ
أَرْبَاباً
مِّن دُونِ
اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ
ابْنَ
مَرْيَمَ]
(They
took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah, and the
Messiah, son of Maryam) [9:31]. Imam Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Jarir At-Tabari
recorded a Hadith via several chains of narration, from `Adi bin Hatim, may
Allah be pleased with him, who became Christian during the time of Jahiliyyah.
When the call of the Messenger of Allah reached his area, `Adi ran away to
Ash-Sham, and his sister and several of his people were captured. The Messenger
of Allah freed his sister and gave her gifts. So she went to her brother and
encouraged him to become Muslim and to go to the Messenger of Allah . `Adi, who
was one of the chiefs of his people (the tribe of Tai') and whose father, Hatim
At-Ta'i, was known for his generosity, went to Al-Madinah. When the people
announced his arrival, `Adi went to the Messenger of Allah wearing a silver
cross around his neck. The Messenger of Allah recited this Ayah;
[اتَّخَذُواْ
أَحْبَـرَهُمْ
وَرُهْبَـنَهُمْ
أَرْبَاباً
مِّن دُونِ
اللَّهِ]
(They
took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah). `Adi
commented, "I said, `They did not worship them.''' The Prophet said,
«بَلَى
إِنَّهُمْ
حَرَّمُوا
عَلَيْهِمُ
الْحَلَالَ
وَأَحَلُّوا
لَهُمُ
الْحَرَامَ
فَاتَّبَعُوهُمْ
فَذَلِكَ
عِبَادَتُهُمْ
إِيَّاهُم»
(Yes
they did. They (rabbis and monks) prohibited the allowed for them (Christians
and Jews) and allowed the prohibited, and they obeyed them. This is how they
worshipped them.) The Messenger of Allah said to `Adi,
«يَا
عَدِيُّ مَا
تَقُولُ؟
أَيُفِرُّكَ
أَنْ يُقَالَ:
اللهُ
أَكْبَرَ؟
فَهَلْ
تَعْلَمُ
شَيْئًا
أَكْبَرَ
مِنَ اللهِ؟
مَا يُفِرُّكَ؟
أَيُفِرُّكَ
أَنْ يُقَالَ:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا
اللهُ؟
فَهَلْ
تَعْلَمُ
مَنْ إِلهٌ إِلَّا
اللهُ؟»
(O
`Adi what do you say Did you run away (to Ash-Sham) so that 'Allahu Akbar'
(Allah is the Great) is not pronounced Do you know of anything greater than
Allah What made you run away Did you run away so that `La ilaha illallah' is
not pronounced Do you know of any deity worthy of worship except Allah)
The
Messenger invited `Adi to embrace Islam, and he embraced Islam and pronounced
the Testimony of Truth. The face of the Messenger of Allah beamed with pleasure
and he said to `Adi,
«إِنَّ
الْيَهُودَ
مَغْضُوبٌ
عَلَيْهِمْ
وَالنَّصَارَى
ضَالُّون»
(Verily,
the Jews have earned the anger (of Allah) and the Christians are misguided.)
Hudhayfah bin Al-Yaman, `Abdullah bin `Abbas and several others said about the
explanation of,
[اتَّخَذُواْ
أَحْبَـرَهُمْ
وَرُهْبَـنَهُمْ
أَرْبَاباً
مِّن دُونِ
اللَّهِ]
(They
took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah...) that the
Christians and Jews obeyed their monks and rabbis in whatever they allowed or
prohibited for them. This is why Allah said,
[وَمَآ
أُمِرُواْ
إِلاَّ
لِيَعْبُدُواْ
إِلَـهاً
وَحِداً]
(while they were commanded to worship
none but One God), Who, whatever He renders prohibited is the prohibited,
whatever He allowed is the allowed, whatever He legislates, is to be the law
followed, and whatever He decides is to be adhered to;

إِلَـهَ
إِلاَّ هُوَ
سُبْحَـنَهُ
عَمَّا
يُشْرِكُونَ]
(None
has the right to be worshipped but He. Hallowed be He above what they associate
(with Him).) Meaning, exalted, sanctified, hallowed above partners, equals,
aids, rivals or children, there is no deity or Lord worthy of worship except
Him.

بِأَفْوَهِهِمْ
وَيَأْبَى
اللَّهُ إِلاَّ

رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى
وَدِينِ

وَلَوْ
كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ

(32.
They want to extinguish Allah's Light with their mouths, but Allah will not
allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the disbelievers hate
(it).) (33. It is He Who has sent His
Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, to make it superior over all
religions even though the idolators hate (it).)

According to the Bible, the very same spirit that revealed the Quran is the very same spirit of Antichrist which deceives the world. Islam does not view Jesus as the Son of God nor does it view him as God along with the Father. Hence, for any knowledgeable Christian to accept Islam as another revelation from God or give any ground for any acceptance of its message would be guilty of supporting this very same spirit of Antichrist! This fact is inescapable from a biblical perspective.
Not only is Islam antichristian its sole purpose is to subdue all other religions including Christianity. If Muslims took over the west, any interfaith dialogue would cease and Jews and Christians would be forced to pay Jizyah tax as a sign of humiliation or lose their life. This is a very dangerous pitfall for unsuspecting Christians to fall into. Such dangerous pitfalls urged the Apostle John to continue on saying:
Watch
yourselves, that you do not lose what we
have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. 2 John 8
Look to yourselves…
This is an exhortation to the elect lady, and her children, to look about them,
and take care of themselves, and beware
of these deceivers, and their doctrines: (Source)
John’s warning dealt with dangerous doctrine taught by false teachers, deceitful prophets and those who follow them. The potential for these deceivers to destroy the truth was so great that the apostle mentioned that a believer could lose all they accomplished by not adhering to his warning and allowing them to penetrate the church. This includes the importance of not compromising on the doctrine of Christ which Islam soundly rejects as being true, as we’ve seen above.
that we lose not those things which we have wrought;
or as the Alexandrian copy, and many other copies, and the Vulgate Latin,
Syriac, and Ethiopic versions read, "that ye lose not those things which
ye have wrought"; in embracing the Gospel, making a profession of it, walking in it, showing a zeal, and
contending for it, expressing a love both by words and actions to the ministers
of it, and suffering much reproach on the account of it; all which would be
lost, and in vain, should they at last drop the Gospel, and embrace the errors
of the wicked; see (Galatians
3:4) . Moreover, such who do not go such lengths, as to let go the head,
Christ, but retain him as the foundation, and the fundamental doctrines of the
Gospel, yet, among many precious things, may lay much rubbish on this
foundation; and therefore should take heed what they build upon it, since,
though they themselves may be saved, their works may be destroyed, and so they
suffer loss; see (1 Corinthians
3:11-15) ; and if we read the words, "that we lose not--which we have
wrought"; the sense is the same, it being only a figure which rhetoricians
call communion, and it is frequently used when a common duty is exhorted to;
see (1 John

1:5) ; unless it should be thought that this has a peculiar reference to
the ministers of the Gospel, as it may: for though the Gospel preached by them
can never be lost, being the everlasting Gospel, and the word which abides for
ever; yet it may be received in vain, and persons may fall from it, and imbibe
error, and so the labour of Christ's faithful ministers may be so far in vain,
and lost; and likewise, many souls whom they have thought they have gained to
Christ, and that they have been instruments of working upon them for good, and
have hoped they would be their joy and crown of rejoicing another day; when
such are carried away by deceivers, fall off from the truth, ministers of the
word lose what they thought they had wrought, which must give them great
concern; and this is improved by the apostle into a reason and argument why the
persons he wrote to should beware of seducers and their errors: (Source)
The purpose of this verse is to show that Christians must not only adhere to the Gospel but also tackle the errors introduced by wicked men and deceivers and false religions. It is very obvious that anyone who embraces a religion, whose message is antichrist, is failing to perform this very fundamental obligation. Failure to adhere to this very same practice would cost an alleged Christian’s place in heaven. Yet sadly the politically correct consensus today is utterly failing to adhere to this warning. They are afraid to call Islam what it is, a religion whose message is antichrist and antichristian:
but that we receive a full reward;
in heaven, and which itself is called the recompense of reward, and the reward
of the inheritance; not that this is a reward of debt due to the works of men,
which are not rewardable in themselves; for they are such as are due to God
before they are performed; and when they are done, they are not profitable to
him, nothing is given to him, or received by him; when all is done that can be
done, men are unprofitable servants; but this is a reward of grace, God has of
his own grace promised it to those who love and serve him; and because it will
be given them of his grace, after their work is over, as wages are given to a
servant when he has done his work, it goes by this name: and whereas it is said
to be a "full" one, the meaning is not as if it was different to
different persons, for there is but one recompense of reward, or reward of the
inheritance common to all the saints; or, as if it might be incomplete in some;
it only signifies a large and exceeding great reward; see (Genesis
15:1) (
2:12) ; in which last place the same phrase is used as here; and where the
Septuagint interpreters use the same words as here; and which is thus
paraphrased by the Targumist,
``the Lord give thee a good recompence in this
world for thy good work, and let thy reward be (amylv) , "full", or
"perfect", in the world to come.''
And the Jews F7 often speak of a full
reward, and an equal one, to be received hereafter. Perhaps regard is here had
particularly to the ministers of the Gospel, who have their reward in part
here, for the workman is worthy of his reward, and they will have it in full
hereafter. Moreover, the apostle might here be concerned, that he, and every
faithful minister, might have their full number, they expected, that none may
be missing, and which he may call a full reward: though the above copies and
versions read here, as before, "ye", and "not we".

This issue isn’t mundane nor is it as innocent as people would have you to believe. I haven’t seen any discussion on the seriousness of allowing other religion’s leaders to conduct worship services of their god in the church. Apparently in haste to accommodate the Muslim population, many Christians have sought to undermine the very deadly warnings of their holy scripture to be politically correct. By not being watchful, the apostle John clearly says that one will lose what they’ve accomplished which ultimately would include their place in heaven. Islam does not carry on the doctrine of Christ and his apostles nor is it tolerant of Christianity or Judaism.
Narrated
'Aisha and 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas:
When the last moment of the life
of Allah's Apostle came he started putting
his 'Khamisa' on his face and when he felt hot and short of breath he took it off
his face and said, "MAY ALLAH CURSE THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS for they
built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets." The Prophet
was warning (Muslims) of what those had done. (Sahih Bukhari, Volume
1, Book 8, Number 427)
While in the Quran we find this:
And the
Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is
the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. THEY IMITATE
THE SAYING OF THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE OF OLD. ALLAH (HIMSELF) FIGHTETH AGAINST THEM (Arabic: qaatalahumu llahu anna yu'fakoona--
Literally-May Allah KILL THEM). HOW

Now that you have seen the hostility of the Quran against Jews and Christians, and Christian theology, we proceed to the next verse of 2 John:
Anyone who goes too far AND DOES
NOT ABIDE IN THE TEACHINGS OF CHRIST, DOES NOT HAVE GOD; the one who abides in the teaching, he has
both the Father and the Son. 2 John 9
According to the Bible, anyone, who doesn’t abide by the teaching of Jesus Christ is not of God and is a worker of iniquity. Muslims may claim to worship the same God as Christians but according to the Bible, if you reject Christ’s teaching (Sonship, deity, believing in him as Savior and Lord, etc.) YOU DO NOT HAVE OR WORSHIP GOD! Here are some of Jesus’ teachings:
Do not
think that I shall accuse you to the Father; it is Moses who accuses you, on
whom you set your hope. If you believed Moses, you would believe me, FOR HE
WROTE OF ME." John 5:45-46
Since Moses pointed to Jesus, according to Jesus himself,
what must we do to gain salvation? Jesus provides the answer:
"He
who does not love Me DOES NOT KEEP MY WORDS; and the word which you hear
is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me." John 14:24
And this is the will of Him who
sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son AND BELIEVES IN HIM may have
everlasting life; and I WILL RAISE HIM UP AT THE LAST DAY."
John 6:40
Most assuredly, I SAY TO YOU, he
who believes in Me HAS EVERLASTING LIFE. John 6:47
"Moreover, the Father judges
no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the
Son JUST AS they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not
honor the Father, who sent him." John 5:22-23
Jesus said to her, "I AM
THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. He WHO BELIEVES IN ME, though he may die, he
shall live. And whoever lives and BELIEVES IN ME shall never die. Do
you believe this?" She said to Him, "Yes, Lord, I believe that
You are the Christ, the Son of God,
who is to come into the world." John 11:25-27
Jesus said to him, "I AM the
way, the truth, and THE LIFE. NO ONE comes to the Father EXCEPT THROUGH
ME. "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and FROM
NOW ON YOU KNOW HIM AND HAVE SEEN HIM." John 14:6-7
And,
For God
so loved the world that He gave HIS ONLY begotten Son, that WHOEVER
BELIEVES IN HIM should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did
not send HIS SON into the world to condemn the world, but that the world
through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17
The Bible clearly provides us with the answer as to how
people can be saved. They must first love the LORD GOD and then believe his
revelations. To believe his revelations is to trust Jesus Christ as Lord and
Savior since they all point to him, according to Jesus himself. Here is what
God’s revelations say a person must believe regarding Jesus:
1. Believe that he is the Son of God.
2. Believe that he is the resurrection and the life.
3. Honor him in the same way as one would honor God the Father.
4. Keep his words.
That is why Jesus further said that:
"He
who believes in Him is not condemned; but HE WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE is
condemned already, because he has not believed in the THE NAME OF THE ONLY
BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. John 3:18
Salvation
is found IN NO ONE ELSE, for there is NO OTHER NAME under heaven given to men
by WHICH WE MUST BE SAVED." When they
saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled,
ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had
been with JESUS. Acts 4:12-13
Without embracing God’s Son, one can’t enter paradise no matter how pious or close their religion claims to be in comparison to Christianity. If a Muslim claims to worship God but not he doesn’t have God period! According to the Bible, to have God is to have both the Father and the Son. A person cannot have God without having the Son and therefore cannot go to heaven. In other words, you can’t have one without the other nor can you just claim to worship one without the other. It’s either all or none, not one and done.
That if
you confess with your mouth, "JESUS IS LORD," and believe in your
heart that GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, you will BE SAVED. Rom. 10:9
Sadly, the many homicide bombers who gleefully strap explosives to themselves to kill infidels don’t find themselves in heaven the moment the die. They find themselves in the fiery pits of hell and tormented by everlasting fire, the place where Satan and demons will end up forever. This is their paradise, fiery pits, torment, and the horrors and pains of hell forever. All of the sadistic killings originate from hell so imagine these gleeful killers being tormented alongside the very same spirits who possessed them to commit these heinous crimes. Unfortunately, this just doesn’t apply to the homicide bombers but also to any Muslim who rejects both THE FATHER AND THE SON.
But the cowardly, the
unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice
magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake
of burning sulfur. This is the SECOND
DEATH." Rev 21:8
For any sane Christian, why would you want to have interfaith services and allow this type of antichristian teaching to come inside your church doors? Muslims always welcome preaching to Christians for their goal is to win the world for Islam.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
When the Prophet died and Abu Bakr became his successor and some of the Arabs reverted to disbelief, 'Umar said, "O Abu Bakr! How can you fight these people although ALLAH'S APOSTLE SAID, 'I HAVE BEEN ORDERED TO FIGHT THE PEOPLE TILL THEY SAY: 'NONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BE WORSHIPPED BUT ALLAH, 'and whoever said, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah', Allah will save his property and his life from me, unless (he does something for which he receives legal punishment) justly, and his account will be with Allah?' "Abu Bakr said, "By Allah! I will fight whoever differentiates between prayers and Zakat as Zakat is the right to be taken from property (according to Allah's Orders). By Allah! If they refused to pay me EVEN A KID they used to pay to Allah's Apostle, I would fight with them for withholding it." 'Umar said, "By Allah: It was nothing, but I noticed that Allah opened Abu Bakr's chest towards the decision to fight, therefore I realized that his decision was right." (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 84, Number 59)

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, DO NOT RECEIVE HIM INTO YOUR HOUSE, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting PARTICIPATES IN HIS EVIL DEEDS. 2 John 10-11
The Bible tells us not only not to receive people who don’t adhere to the doctrine of Christ into our home, let alone the house of God, but to not even greet them. {Note: This is dealing with interfaith services, etc, not Christian ministering to lost souls irrespective of their religious background for those who haven’t figured this out after reading this article yet.}
Previously we quoted Ibn Kathir who mentioned how Muslims were not to greet Christians with “Salaam” which means peace for they consider themselves to be at war, not at peace, with non-Muslims. We repeat Ibn Kathir’s statements again:
…(Do not initiate the Salam to the Jews and Christians, and if you meet any of them in a road, force them to its narrowest alley.) This is why the Leader of the faithful `Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, demanded his well-known conditions be met by the Christians, these conditions THAT ENSURED THEIR CONTINUED HUMILIATION, DEGRADATION AND DISGRACE…
In Islamic countries, ruled by Shariah law (Islamic law based on the Quran, Hadith and other sources) this is what many fellow Jews and Christians are experiencing. The only reason this isn’t allowed in the west is because Muslims aren’t the majority and are under the microscope after the 9/11 attacks. What Osama Bin Laden and his minions couldn’t do with their attacks, many politically correct pastors and church leaders are ignorantly and eagerly have been doing: allowing Islam a foot in the door of non-Islamic sanctuaries. Many pastors and church leaders are utterly disobeying the very same Bible they claim to follow by allowing Islam to be taught and preached in their church. Many Christians also fall suspect to this when they assume that “Muslims worship the same God” just because they believe in the one true God. From the Quran we read:
And argue
not with the People of the Scripture unless it be in (a way) that is better,
save with such of them as do wrong; and say: We believe in that which hath been revealed unto us and revealed unto
you; OUR GOD AND YOUR GOD IS ONE, and unto Him we surrender. S. 29:46
The apostle James tells us that even Satan himself believes and trembles at the one true God:
You believe that there is one God. Good! EVEN THE DEMONS BELIEVE THAT- AND SHUDDER. James 2:19
Hence, anyone who claims to believe in ONE God is no different from Satan and his minions unless s/he adheres to the Bible which leads them to follow the doctrine of Christ. To even greet them cheerfully, based on the Bible, means to participate in their evil deeds. So no matter how nice a Muslim may be or peaceful, if they don’t accept the doctrine of Christ as taught by the NT, their deeds are evil! This may sound harsh but this is strictly biblical. John finishes by saying:
Though I have many things to write to you, I do not want to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, so that your joy may be made full. The children of your chosen sister greet you. 2 John 12-13
Though 2 John is one of those very little known books of the Bible, it is
nonetheless very important for it outlines how a believer must deal with false
prophets and religious leaders who try to infiltrate the church and general
Christian society. We don’t know how any more clearly this warning can be.
Because the earlier Christians of Arabia failed to judge Muhammad and his
message based on their inspired Scripture, they allowed Islam to not only
flourish but to eventually subdue them. If we don’t obey this warning also, the
same problems Muhammad introduced to
Some Muslims appeal to the following tolerant verses to dupe people into thinking that Islam respects other religious beliefs:
Those who
believe (in the Qur'an), and those who
follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who
believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their
reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they
grieve." S. 2:62
Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures),
and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day,
and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they
grieve." S. 5:69
There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Tâghût {1} and believes in Allâh, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower. S. 2:256
Muslims have attempted to use these abrogated verses to
promote the idea of Islam being tolerant of Christianity and Judaism. According
to the Quran, Allah revealed certain verses only to be canceled out later by
other verses. This is known as nasikh wa mansukh, "the abrogating
and the abrogated."
This has led some Muslims to classify the above passages as
examples of texts which have been abrogated or annulled by verses which came
later. Typical of such a view is the following commentary by Muslim translators
Hilali-Khan:
"...
(V. 2:62) This Verse, (and Verse 5:69) mentioned in the Qur'an should not be
misinterpreted by the reader as mentioned by Ibn Abbas... (T. At-Tabari
Vol. I, P. 323) that the order of this Verse was canceled by the Verse
3:85... [i.e. after the coming of Prophet Muhammad... on the earth, no other
religion except Islam, will be accepted from anyone." (Dr. Muhammad
Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali, Ph.D. Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan, Interpretation of the
Meaning of The Noble Quran In the English Language, A Summarized Version of
At-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi and Ibn Kathir with comments from Sahih Al-Bukhari,
p. 15, f. 2)
And,
"This
verse (V. 5:69) and (V. 2:62) should not be misinterpreted by the readers as
mentioned by Ibn Abbas (T. At-Tabari, Vol. P. 323) that the order of
this Verse was canceled by the (V. 3:85). And after the coming of the Prophet
Muhammad... no other religion except Islam will be accepted from anyone."

As you can see, the tolerant verses have been canceled out
and are no longer valid.
The Religion before God is Islam (submission
to His Will): Nor did the People of the
Book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other, after knowledge had
come to them. But if any deny the Signs of God, God is swift in calling to
account. S. 3:19
If anyone desires a religion OTHER THAN ISLAM (submission
to God), NEVER WILL IT BE ACCEPTED OF HIM;
and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All
spiritual good). S. 3:85
According to these passages, no other religion is
acceptable to God besides Islam. If this is so, then how can the Quran claim
that Christians, Sabians and Jews who do good and believe in the last day shall
enter
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
During the lifetime of the Prophet some people said, : O Allah's Apostle! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" The Prophet said, "Yes; do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky?" They replied, "No." He said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky?" They replied, "No." The Prophet said, "(Similarly) you will have no difficulty in seeing Allah on the Day of Resurrection as you have no difficulty in seeing either of them. On the Day of Resurrection, a call-maker will announce, "Let every nation follow that which they used to worship." THEN NONE OF THOSE WHO USED TO WORSHIP ANYTHING OTHER THAN ALLAH like idols AND OTHER DEITIES but will fall in Hell (Fire), till there will remain none but those who used to worship Allah, both those who were obedient (i.e. good) and those who were disobedient (i.e. bad) and the remaining party of the people of the Scripture. THEN THE JEWS will be called upon and it will be said to them, 'Who do you use to worship?' They will say, 'We used to worship Ezra, the son of Allah.' It will be said to them, 'YOU ARE LIARS, FOR ALLAH HAS NEVER TAKEN ANYONE AS A WIFE OR A SON. What do you want now?' They will say, 'O our Lord! We are thirsty, so give us something to drink.' They will be directed and addressed thus, 'Will you drink,' whereupon THEY WILL BE GATHERED UNTO HELL (FIRE) which will look like a mirage whose different sides will be destroying each other. Then they will fall into the Fire. AFTERWARDS THE CHRISTIANS WILL BE CALLED upon and it will be said to them, 'Who do you use to worship?' THEY WILL SAY, 'WE USED TO WORSHIP JESUS, THE SON OF ALLAH.' It will be said to them, 'YOU ARE LIARS, for Allah has never taken anyone as a wife or a son,' Then it will be SAID TO THEM, 'What do you want?' They will say what the FORMER PEOPLE have said. Then, when there remain (in the gathering) NONE BUT THOSE WHO USED TO WORSHIP ALLAH (ALONE, the real Lord of the Worlds) WHETHER THEY WERE OBEDIENT OR DISOBEDIENT. Then (Allah) the Lord of the worlds will come to them in a shape nearest to the picture they had in their minds about Him. It will be said, 'What are you waiting for?' Every nation have followed what they used to worship.' They will reply, 'We left the people in the world when we were in great need of them and we did not take them as friends. Now we are waiting for our Lord Whom we used to worship.' Allah will say, 'I am your Lord.' They will say twice or thrice, 'We do not worship any besides Allah.' " (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 60, Number 105)
As you can clearly see, Christians and Jews go to hell
particularly for believing in the Son of God according to Muhammad and Islam.
For those who are still interested in friendly interfaith dialogue and worship
with Muslims please read this Quranic passage:
Is it a judgment of the time of (pagan) ignorance that they are seeking?Who is better than Allah for judgment to a people who have certainty (in their belief)? O YE WHO BELIEVE! TAKE NOT THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS FOR FRIENDS. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. LO! ALLAH GUIDETH NOT WRONGDOING FOLK. S. 5:50-51
This verse is very offensive to those who practice the Jewish and Christian faith. According to the Quran, any Muslim who befriends a Jew or Christian is like them and therefore an unbeliever! It is impossible for a Muslim to promote unity if s/he is faithful to his/her scripture since this passage classifies any Muslim who befriends Jews and Christians a disbeliever.
Christians and Jews are wrongdoers and disbelievers and those who believe in Allah must not take them as friends. How can a Muslim believe his god and then disobey this verse? This passage clearly says that Allah doesn't even guide Jews and Christians!! This attitude is shown in many Muslim countries toward “the people of the book”. We provide the correct tafsir (commentary on the Quran) from Ibn Kathir, the crème de le crème of all Islamic commentaries:
[يَـأَيُّهَا
الَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُواْ
لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ
الْيَهُودَ
وَالنَّصَـرَى
أَوْلِيَآءَ
بَعْضُهُمْ
أَوْلِيَآءُ
بَعْضٍ وَمَن
يَتَوَلَّهُمْ
مِّنكُمْ
فَإِنَّهُ
مِنْهُمْ
إِنَّ
اللَّهَ لاَ
يَهْدِى
الْقَوْمَ
الظَّـلِمِينَ
- فَتَرⵞى
الَّذِينَ فِى
قُلُوبِهِم
مَّرَضٌ
يُسَـرِعُونَ
فِيهِمْ
يَقُولُونَ
نَخْشَى أَن
تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَةٌ
فَعَسَى
اللَّهُ أَن
يَأْتِىَ بِالْفَتْحِ
أَوْ أَمْرٍ
مِّنْ

أَسَرُّواْ

أَنفُسِهِمْ
نَـدِمِينَ -
وَيَقُولُ
الَّذِينَ

(51. O you who believe! DO NOT TAKE FRIENDS,
FROM THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS, as they are but friends of each other. And if
any among you befriends them, then surely, he is one of them. Verily, Allah
guides not those people who are the wrongdoers.) (52. And you see those in whose hearts there IS A DISEASE, they hurry
to their friendship, saying: "We fear lest some misfortune of a
disaster may befall us. '' Perhaps Allah may bring a victory or a decision
according to His will. Then they will become regretful for what they have been
keeping as a secret in themselves.) (53. And those who believe will say:
"Are these the men who swore their strongest oaths by Allah that they were
with you'' All that they did has been in vain, and they have become the
losers.)
The Prohibition of Taking the Jews, Christians and Enemies of
Islam as Friends
Allah forbids His
believing servants from having Jews and Christians as friends, BECAUSE THEY ARE
ENEMIES OF ISLAM AND ITS PEOPLE, may
Allah curse them. Allah then states that they are friends of each other and He
gives a warning threat to those who do this,
[وَمَن
يَتَوَلَّهُمْ
مِّنكُمْ
فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ]
(And if any among you befriends them, then
surely he is one of them.) Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that `Umar ordered Abu
Musa Al-Ash`ari to send him on one sheet of balance the count of what he took
in and what he spent. Abu Musa then had a
Christian scribe, and he was able to comply with `Umar's demand. `Umar
liked what he saw and exclaimed, "This scribe is proficient. Would you
read in the Masjid a letter that came to us from Ash-Sham'' Abu Musa said, `He
cannot.'' `Umar said, "Is he not pure'' Abu Musa said, "No, but he is
Christian.'' Abu Musa said, "So `Umar admonished me and poked my thigh
(with his finger), saying, `Drive him
out (from Al-Madinah).' He then recited,
[يَـأَيُّهَا
الَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُواْ
لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ
الْيَهُودَ
وَالنَّصَـرَى
أَوْلِيَآءَ]
(O you who believe!
Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends...)'' Then he reported that
`Abdullah bin `Utbah said, "Let one of you beware that he might be a Jew
or a Christian, while unaware.'' The narrator of this statement said, "We
thought that he was referring to the Ayah,
[يَـأَيُّهَا
الَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُواْ
لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ
الْيَهُودَ
وَالنَّصَـرَى
أَوْلِيَآءَ]
(O you who believe!
Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends, )'' Allah said,
[فَتَرَى
الَّذِينَ
فِى
قُلُوبِهِم
مَّرَضٌ]
(And
you see those in whose hearts there is a disease...) A disease of doubt, hesitation and hypocrisy.
[يُسَـرِعُونَ
فِيهِمْ]
(they
hurry to their friendship,) meaning, they rush to offer them their friendship
and allegiances in secret and in public,
[يَقُولُونَ
نَخْشَى أَن
تُصِيبَنَا
دَآئِرَةٌ]
(saying:
"We fear lest some misfortune of a disaster may befall us.") They thus
offer this excuse for their friendship and allegiances to the disbelievers,
saying that they fear that the disbelievers might defeat the Muslims, so they
want to be in favor with the Jews and Christians, to use this favor for their
benefit in that eventuality! Allah replied,
[فَعَسَى
اللَّهُ أَن
يَأْتِىَ
بِالْفَتْحِ]
(Perhaps
Allah may bring a victory...) referring to the conquering of Makkah, according
to As-Suddi.
[أَوْ
أَمْرٍ مِّنْ
عِندِهِ]
(or a decision according to His will)
requiring the Jews and Christians to pay the Jizyah, as As-Suddi stated,
[فَيُصْبِحُواْ]
(Then
they will become) meaning, the hypocrites who gave their friendship to the Jews
and Christians, will become,
[عَلَى مَآ
أَسَرُّواْ
فِى
أَنفُسِهِمْ]
(for what they have been keeping as a
secret in themselves) of allegiances,
[نَـدِمِينَ]
(regretful,)
for their friendship with the Jews and Christians which did not benefit them or
protect them from any harm. Rather, it was nothing but harm, as Allah exposed
their true reality to His faithful servants in this life, although they tried
to conceal it. When the signs that exposed their hypocrisy were compiled
against them, their matter became clear to Allah's faithful servants. So the
believers were amazed at these hypocrites who pretended to be believers,
swearing to their faithfulness, yet their claims were all lies and deceit. This
is why Allah said,
[وَيَقُولُ
الَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُواْ
أَهُـؤُلاءِ
الَّذِينَ
أَقْسَمُواْ
بِاللَّهِ
جَهْدَ
أَيْمَـنِهِمْ
إِنَّهُمْ
لَمَعَكُمْ
حَبِطَتْ
أَعْمَـلُهُمْ
فَأَصْبَحُواْ
خَـسِرِينَ ]
(And
those who believe will say, "Are these the men who swore their strongest
oaths by Allah that they were with you'' All that they did has been in vain,
and they have become the losers.)
[يأَيُّهَا
الَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُواْ
مَن يَرْتَدَّ
مِنكُمْ عَن
دِينِهِ
فَسَوْفَ
يَأْتِى
اللَّهُ
بِقَوْمٍ
يُحِبُّهُمْ
وَيُحِبُّونَهُ
أَذِلَّةٍ
عَلَى
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
أَعِزَّةٍ
عَلَى
الْكَـفِرِينَ
يُجَـهِدُونَ
فِى سَبِيلِ
اللَّهِ وَلاَ
يَخَـفُونَ
لَوْمَةَ
لائِمٍ ذلِكَ
فَضْلُ
اللَّهِ
يُؤْتِيهِ
مَن يَشَآءُ
وَاللَّهُ
وَسِعٌ
عَلِيمٌ -
إِنَّمَا
وَلِيُّكُمُ
اللَّهُ
وَرَسُولُهُ
وَالَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُواْ
الَّذِينَ
يُقِيمُونَ
الصَّلوةَ
وَيُؤْتُونَ
الزَّكَوةَ
وَهُمْ
رَاكِعُونَ -
وَمَن
يَتَوَلَّ
اللَّهَ
وَرَسُولَهُ
وَالَّذِينَ

حِزْبَ
اللَّهِ هُمُ
الْغَـلِبُونَ

(54.
O you who believe! Whoever from among
you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He
will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards
the disbelievers, fighting in the way of Allah, and never fearing the blame of
the blamers. That is the grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills.
And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.) (55. Verily,
your Protector is Allah, His Messenger, and the believers, those who perform
the Salah, and give Zakah, and they bow down.) (56. And whosoever takes Allah,
His Messenger, and those who have believed, as protectors, then the party of
Allah will be the victorious.) (Tafsir Ibn

Again, this hatred is inspired by the spirit of antichrist
who hates Jesus and his doctrine. Such false teachers and religions led the
Apostle John to write 2 John to warn the church to lookout for this deadly
spirit. This spirit of antichrist is found at the very core of the Islamic
religion and its theology. Judging Islam on the basis of some “peaceful”
so-called moderate Muslims proves nothing. An antichrist is still an antichrist
whether one is peaceful or extremist. Islam warns against taking Christians and
Jews for friends which is why the Apostle John warned us that when these
peaceful followers of this antichristian religion comes to your house (church
house) you should not welcome them:
If anyone comes to you
and does not bring this teaching, DO NOT
RECEIVE HIM INTO YOUR HOUSE, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who
gives him a greeting PARTICIPATES IN HIS EVIL DEEDS. 2 John 10-11
Those who rush to usher in Islam as a peaceful counterpart
to Christianity but yet claim to adhere to the Christian faith are disobeying
the very warning from the God they claim to serve. We must not greet them nor
receive them. We have been warned! God Bless all.
